Community Education and Mentoring Program

School students anxiety rises over their educational plan for 2021/2022.

Education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty and being part of the school system provides our students not only with knowledge and a support group but most important of all, hope for the future..

The Department of Education has not yet announced its plans for the new 2021/2022 school year but it is expected that the blended learning system of workbooks and online classes will continue.

We have set up computer hubs in each of our centers to assist those students who are in a poor signal area.

Our ALS classes for dropped out students continue as a face to face program for a maximum of 20 students per class.

Child Care Services

Children have no toys to play with.

Children are used to playing outside with each other and with whatever they can find, but under the new rules of ECQ and GCQ, all children 21 years and below are required to stay indoors. This is particularly hard for young children to do who have lots of energy, get easily bored and frustrated and do not understand why they need to stay inside. Our child care and early development teacher has been conducting home visits and has distributed coloring books and pencils and has suggested that we provide some toys, particularly activity based toys and books for the younger children to play with.
